How booking works
From the call to PatientNow.
The front desk reads available slots for the service and provider, books the chosen slot in PatientNow, and cancels or moves it when a patient calls back.
What you will need
- A PatientNow API token and practice ID
- Your edition: PatientNow Pro or Essentials
Setup
How we connect PatientNow.
- 01
Request access from PatientNow
The practice asks PatientNow for an API token and its practice ID for the connection.
- 02
Map providers and services
We set which providers and services the front desk may book.
- 03
Test carefully, then go live
PatientNow has no sandbox, so test bookings are made on your account with test patients and removed afterwards.
PatientNow integration questions, answered.
Do we have to change anything about how we use PatientNow?
No. PatientNow stays your system of record. The front desk works inside the schedule, appointment types and providers you already have, and your team keeps working in PatientNow as they do today.
Does it matter whether we are on Pro or Essentials?
Yes. Both can book and cancel. Pro can move an appointment in place; Essentials moves it by cancelling and rebooking.
